Birthday Wishes

I'm so excited that I was asked to be a Special Guest Diva for Die Cuttin Divas. The challenge this week is to include twine, 3 buttons and pop dots. I thought I would do a birthday card to add to my stash. I just got the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. I seen this cake design and thought it would be cute for my birthday card. I popped up the cake on pop dots and added a Peachy Keen Face(these are my favorite). I did use three heart buttons with matching colored bakers twine tied through them in a bow. I really like the soft pastel colors. I thought this would make a fun birthday card.  Be sure to stop by Die Cuttin Divas and join up for this fun challenge. See ya there!!

I made this card to add to my stash as I don't have many boy's birthday cards. I really liked the way the mini monster turned out. That Peachy Keen smile just makes him so cute! I really have a hard time coming up with boy/men cards. I'm always adding bling, glitter and lots of girly items. It's really simple but I do like the way it turned out.

4 Months Til Christmas Blog Hop & Christmas Blog Candy

Have you started your Holiday shopping yet? I hope so, only 4 more months until Christmas!!

We're so excited that you are joining us for our Christmas Blog Hop. We have each created 2 Christmas cards, one stamped and/or colored and the other using a die cut of some sort. We do this on the 25th of every month so that we won't be scrambling to make all of our cards during the Christmas season.

I hope you'll visit everyone's blog and get inspiration from their cards and leave them some love. If you like what you see please follow so you don't miss out.

If you have arrived here from the talented Shari's blog then you are in the right place! If you arrived at my blog by chance or to visit, please start our blog hop at Kerry blog so that you get to see everyone's amazing Christmas cards.

Here's my colored card. I'm using the sentiment as my "colored image". I really love this paper from Paper Studio, it's so pretty. I did an "S" fold card as I thought it made the sentiment the main focal point. I added some brads, used the Cuttlebug snowflake folder on the green cardstock behind the sentiment and added some ribbon on the inside.
Here are a couple more looks at this card:
Material:
Core-dinations Foundations Canvas Texture Cardstock
Paper Studio
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Tea Dye
DCWV Christmas & Winter Cardstock Stack
My Craft Spot Merry Christmas Sentiment
Cuttlebug Snowflake
Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels
Paper Studio Spare Parts Brads
Ribbon
For my second card I thought I would make a fun Christmas card. I used the Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels to get this framed look on my card. I saved the punched out pieces for the inside of the cards. I really like the glossy accents on his scarf and the tiny jingle bell just completes it. I used my Martha Stewart snowflake punch and glittered up the snowflakes to add some sparkle. I also added glitter and glossy accents to the light bulbs in his antlers. Hope you enjoy!!
Material:
Winter Frolic 3"
Distress Ink Tea Dye
Xyron
Recollections Glitters
Recollections Cardstock Neutrals

Hoping You'll Soon Be Right As Rain!

Here's a quick card I made to enter the challenge at My Craft Spot. You're to include water on your project. I thought instead of a pool of water I would do rain drops. We have had some much needed rain here in Arizona lately. I thought the umbrella and rain boots were to cute on the Paisley Cachemire cartridge and had to use them. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Open If You Dare...

We love scary movies at our house and what reminds me of scary? Halloween. I thought my girls would get a good chuckle out of this scary pumpkin. I got this new paper pack My Minds Eye Haunted from Michaels and I couldn't wait to use the papers!! I just love the thought of Halloween. I'm thinking it's because of the cooler weather here in AZ. I did use Tim Holtz Tea Dye to go around all the edges on my card. I like the raffia bow as I think it goes good with the Halloween theme.

Paws-atively Precious

I really like this dog that is in the Paper Dolls Everyday Cartridge. I added Glossy Accents to his nose. I also used some Studio G Glitter Glue in Silver to make it tag on his collar look real. He was really simple to cut out and put together. I did go over the cut lines in Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink to make them stand out a little more. I also used one of my punchers to make the grass. The bone was also on the Cricut cartridge.

This is an "S" fold card. I left the inside blank so I could fill it out when I needed it.

Sorry

Here's a super simple but I think really pretty sorry/sympathy card. I made this card but it's not my idea its from shoeprincess1. I saw this card on you tube and thought it was so nice that I had to make my own. Here is the to the video that I originally watched . I also made my own video to show you my spin on the card.
I also did one in pink. I like the purple better, but not just because it's my favorite color. I like it because I didn't use a dark enough color for the edges on the pink flowers.
I hope you enjoy the video! It's the weekend. Have Fun!!

Sweet Little One

This card makes me think about my girls when they were babies. Where does the time go?? I really like the soft colors on this card. I thought the paper for his pj's looked so real with the tiny little stars. I also added a small pom pom on the top of his hat. He looks so peaceful sleeping on the moon. A friend of April's needed a card for a baby shower so this is what I came up with for her. When I originally started out I had cut the image out at 3.5" it was way to big, so I ended up cutting him out at 2" which was perfect for my 5 1/2 x 6 card.
Here's a close up of how I added the Glitter Glue along the edge of the moon to make it stand out. I also punched out a small cloud with "It's a Boy!"paper to layer on top of the larger cloud.

Birthday Wishes

This birthday card was made for a movie lover! I think the popcorn really looks like it's overflowing out of the box. I thought the ticket with the stamped sentiment all went with the movie theme.

Hello

It's almost the weekend! We went last night to meet the teacher night at my girls school. It's going to be a little sad here on Monday as Alivia is going in the 5th grade (where did the time go??) and my twins Madison & McKenzie start kindergarten. It will be quiet around the house without my girls. I have been so use to them being home with me. I will go and volunteer in their classroom every once in awhile.
I made this card yesterday with school in mind. It's a shaped card cut out of the Wild Card 2 cartridge. I don't have a gypsy (yet) so this is a tablet of paper and what goes better with paper then crayons and a pencil.
The crayons are on an action wobble. My girls just love it when something wobbles!
I added glossy accents to the eraser. I felt the crayons needed a little something so I added some Studio G glitter glue to the tips.

Material:
Wild Card 2 @ 4.5"
Simply Charmed @ 3"
Studio G Ink
Distress Ink Tea Dye
Glossy Accents
Studio G Glitter Glue
3D Foam Squares
Buttons
White Jelly Pen

Make it a great weekend!!

Creeping by just to say hi

I just love this Big Foot from the Campin Critters cartridge. My husband is always watching Finding Bigfoot on television. I have to admit this was one of my main reasons for getting this cartridge. I do like the way my card turned out. I also put him on an action wobble so he could look like he was chasing you! There were a couple of campin/outdoor theme challenges and this is my take on them.
Material:
Campin Critters 3"
Carstock from my stash
Colorbok Cardstock Earthtone Cool
Distress Ink Tea Dye & Faded Jeans
Studio G Ink
Buttons
Cotton Braiding Cord
Zots
My Craft Spot Happy Hauntings Stamps
