Red Carpet Studio Black & White Challenge

Our challenge this week is a card challenge - create a black and white card! One accent color may be used.

This week's challenge is inspired by old black and white films.

The real turning point from black and white to color in the movies was the film "The Wizard of Oz." This 1939 movie starts out in black and white, transitions to color, and then back to black and white again. This was the first time many movie goers saw color in film. Some notable black and white movies include "Young Frankenstein," "Night of the Living Dead," "To Kill a Mockingbird," "Invasion of the Body Snatchers," "Schindler's List," "Psycho," and most recently, "The Artist."

Our fabulous sponsor this week is Eureka Stamps! The winner will receive their choice of five digital stamps.

Along with the randomly chosen winner of this week's challenge, the card design team will also be taking a look at ALL of the submissions and voting on their top three "spotlight"submissions. The spotlight submissions, along with the random winner, will be announced on Tuesday December 4th and will receive a special badge for their blogs.

For this weeks black and white card challenge I decided to use one of my favorite cartridges Create A Critter 2. I thought this cute little penguin with his scarf was perfect.  The black and white polka dot paper is from Bazzill Basics Paper Licorice. Doesn't it looked like snow in a dark sky? I then tore a piece of white cardstock and added Recollections Tinsel Glitter to make it look like snow hill.  The sentiment is from Cardz TV Snow Day.

Here's a close up of the snow hill. This is a super fun challenge. Hope you to see your entry!

Have a great day.

This is a super fun Tic Tac Toe Blog Hop by the Scraps To Treasure Team!! We had to use the Tic Tac Toe board above along with only using your scraps to make a project. I chose to do the bottom row across which includes buttons, mist/paint and ribbon. There is blog candy for this hop, but you must comment on everyone's blog in this hop to win. I also have some blog candy that I'll be giving away. If you have arrived from Lucy's you are in the right place. If you just happen to be visiting my blog please start from the beginning.

Here's my card I made for this hop...

The papers are all from my stash. I always have a ton of buttons so I decided to make a wreath out of buttons. I also added some ribbon and adhesive rhinestones.

Here's a close up of the paper that the wreath is on.  I sprayed a green glimmer mist on the paper. It really does give it a pretty shine.  I did ink the edges with Tim Holtz Tea Dye ink.

Red Carpet Studio Card Challenge

Our challenge this week is a card challenge - create a masculine card. Anything goes!

This week's challenge is inspired by old western films.

A Western films is defined as a movie set in the American West that embodies the spirit, the struggle and the demise of the new frontier. It's hard to think of westerns without thinking about Gary Cooper, The Lone Ranger and, of course, John Wayne. A few popular westerns include "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly", "Young Guns", "3:10 to Yuma", "Dances With Wolves" and "High Noon".

Our fabulous sponsor this week is Dude Time Doodles! They are giving away a $10 gift certificate!

Along with the randomly chosen winner of this week's challenge, the card design team will also be taking a look at ALL of the submissions and voting on their top three "spotlight"submissions. The spotlight submissions, along with the random winner, will be announced on Tuesday November 20th and will receive a special badge for their blogs.

Here's the card I came up with for this weeks western challenge. Thought it would be fun to use a little cowgirl that's ready to rope you in! The image is from County Fair cartridge. These papers are from My Minds Eye Dolled up stack. I thought the paper was perfect for her jean skirt and handkerchief. I embellished it by adding a star brad in cowgirl and then added some lucky horseshoes to finish if of.

Every second week of the month Red Carpet Studio will host an award show for the winners who won the previous month's challenges. The nominees will include each week's randomly chosen winner and also each week's spotlight submissions, categorized by the different challenges. The four winners of each week's challenge will be running against each other so bloggers can vote for which creation they like best based on creativity, skill, and the use of the challenge inspiration. Go vote!!

Thankful Bloghop

Hello and welcome to the ‘Thankful’ Bloghop! This is the time of year we really reflect on what we have to be thankful for. One of those things I am thankful for is scrapbooking and all the crafts, supplies and people that go along with it. A group of people is joining me today, and tomorrow, to share projects that all have the word ‘thank’ on them.

Here's the project I created for this hop....

I used the Artiste cartridge to create this pie box. How pretty would this be to give to your guest to take a piece of pie home with them?! The papers from Recollections Night & Fall paper pad were the perfect colors. I added some ribbon, raffia and leaves to give it more of a Fall theme.

Here's a close up of the top. I used My Craft Spot Stampin Around Fall stamp set and Tiny Doilies dies. I then added some adhesive rhinestones to complete the tag. I hope you will visit everyone's blog and see what they created, as there is a variety of projects!!

In addition to seeing a lot of awesome creations, there is some blog candy available too. If you comment on everyone’s bloghop post you will be entered to win the goodies. You don’t have to become a follower of the ‘Afternoon Scrapper’ blog too, but it would be great if you did. The prize is a mix of paper, stickers, mists, stencils stickers and more as pictured here:

Welcome to the Turkey Toe Blog Hop, brought to you by the design teams of Made Especially For You and Red Carpet Studio!

Today the design teams of Made Especially For You and Red Carpet Studio have teamed up to share with you all sorts of turkey-themed projects to help you get ready for Thanksgiving!

If you've come from Eileen's blog, you're in the right place.

For today's hop, I made..
I think this turkey from Create A Critter 2 is perfect for the Fall season! I used an "S" fold card and did distressing around the edges with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink. My papers today are from Recollections Spice Market & Bo Bunny Forever Fall. To finish it off I did some doodling with a white Jelly pen around the tips of his feathers, added a Raffia bow with button and adhesive gem.

Here's a closeup of the turkey. Isn't he cute?! To give him a little extra bling I added some red and black glitter glue. I hope you all go through and leave some love for everyone and have a great Friday. Gobble! Gobble!

We also have some wonderful sponsors giving away prizes to those who comment on every stop of the hop!

Prize: 3 digis of the winner's choice

Here's my project for this challenge:
I decided to do a tag for this challenge, thought it might be easier than doing a card. The images are from the Fast Food cartridge. Since I have so many cartridges I'm trying to see if I can use different ones that I haven't already used. The papers I used are from Simple Stories Harvest Lane. I used Glossy Accents on the pepperoni and french fries to make them look more realistic.  Does this make you hungry? If so, why not go make something and join in on the fun!!

If you just happened on my blog, please start at the beginning of our hop with Janis of Pause Dream Enjoy ().

If you came here from Laura W.~  , you're in the right place!
Here's the card I made for this hop:
I just fell in love with this cute little baby teddy bear. The bottle and pacifier are so adorable. I used a step up card with papers from Paper Studio Sweat Pea Collection. The papers are softer pastel color, which is perfect when making a baby themed card.
Here's a close up of the card. I did use Glossy Accents on her eyes and nose, to make them look more real. I love the look of My Craft Spot vanilla crinkle ribbon that I used at the top of the card. The rhinestone in the middle is from Recollections.

Here's my blog candy for this hop.
