BIG Announcement!!

I have decided to add something new to my blog. I'm going to be starting a semi-weekly linky party!! I would love to see any crafty project as long as it goes with the Craft It Up & Link It Up Linky Party theme. I also have some wonderful sponsors. For each linky party there will be a winner or winners if I have more than one sponsor. Each sponsor will be announced at the beginning of each linky party. There will be guest designers on each linky party to help inspire you to join in on the fun. Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge

Here's my project for this challenge:

I made goodie bags for my daughters birthday party. I could have done a better job. I should have stapled then glued the ribbon over to hide the staples. I'm sure the kids won't mind!! I don't have the instructions on how I made these as they were made before I moved.

Here are all the treat bags I made.

I'm happy to say that we are getting settled into the new house! I'm putting my craft room together this week. I should be back to normal and posting regularly very soon. I have missed visiting everyone's blog.

I'm going to be starting something new on my blog in March. I'll announce my new idea very soon, so be sure to stop back. Hope you will join us in this fun challenge!

Red Carpet Studio - "Where The Heart Is"

This week we're having a card challenge and we welcome our card guest designer this month, Paula!

"Where the Heart Is," is a romantic comedy from 2000. The main characters are played by Ashley Judd and Nathalie Portman. The movie is inspired by the best-selling novel by Billie Lets.

Novalee is a 17-year old pregnant girl traveling to California with her boyfriend. He abandons her in a Wal-Mart store, with only $5.55 in her pocket and no job. She secretly lives in the Wal-Mart until her daughter is born. She raises her daughter with the help from total strangers and builds a whole new life.

This week's card challenge is to include a heart on your card!

Here's the card I made for this challenge:

This card is super simple. I used an embossing foldering for the background, then inked over the paper. Then I added some heart rhinestone stickers. The tag is a punch that I have, then just stamped it with the sentiment. Finished it off with some Recollections embellishments and ribbon.

We moved into our new house this past Tuesday. I have been super busy unpacking. I'm just about done unpacking the house and having it put together. This week I hope to get my craft room up and operational. I will be back to normal posting and crafting hopefully sometime next week. I'm going to IKEA this week to purchase some new furniture for my craft room.
