Ghouls just want to have Fun!


Today I'm sharing this card I made with Monster Bash Boys & Girls from KaDoodle Bug Designs. They are having a 75% OFF SALE this weekend. Be sure to stop by and stock up on their cute files! I decided to make them Halloween monsters. The pumpkins and spiders are from Martha Stewart punches. I added some google eyes, ribbon and a sentiment and it was complete. Craftin Desert Divas Design Team Call!

Craftin Desert Divas Linky Party Design Team Call!!!


We are looking for a few good crafters who love to craft and blog about it.

All craft levels are welcome to apply!

Please include in your application:
 - Name and e-mail address
 - Link to your blog
 - List of current and past design teams (Design Team experience NOT required!)
 - A photo of three different  projects that you feel best showcase your style.  (These could be a card,   layout or an altered item, etc. ( These projects can be current or past projects.)  
 - Tell us about yourself in a short paragraph explaining why you would like to be a part of this Design Team.

Please put "Design Team Call" in the subject line and send to:

Design Team requirements and info:
 - Be an active craft blogger for a minimum of 6 months
 - Be willing to complete a project - card, scrapbook layout, 3D project, etc. - twice a month.
 - Post on the Craftin Desert Divas Facebook page.
 - Comment on linky party entries.
 - The linky party will be every other Monday starting November 11, 2013.
 - Can have more than one post on a Design Team posting day, just with a link at the top of other posts.
 - This is a 6-month term from November 11 th - May 31th. 

 What to expect from Craftin Desert Divas:
 - Although this is not a paying gig, we can help spread the word about your crafting/cardmaking/scrapbooking greatness!!
 - A Design Team button for your blog.

With Sympathy



This weeks challenge at Peachy Keen is a sympathy card. I used  KaDoodle Bug Designs Heaven's Little Angel pattern. I did try to keep it clean and simple, which is very hard for me. I embossed the kraft cardstock with The Paper Studio Script embossing folder.  I stamped the face from PKS PK*540 Funshine Faces.

Get Your Bark On!


Wanted to quickly share my project I made for KaDoodle Bug Designs. This pattern Poodle Star was another freebie from KBD about 2 weeks ago. I wanted to enter this weeks challenge at Peachy Keen stamps which is to make a 3D object with pet theme.  I bought this star party favor box from the Silhouette store added some shooting stars and a banner tag and it was complete. My papers are from the DCWV The Guy Stack.  The peachy stamps are In The Garden and Happy-go-lucky Dog face assortment.

Sweet Treats


Here's a quick tag I made for the KaDoodle Bug Designs challenge this week which is polka dots and stripes. Winner gets a free pattern of their choice. You must use a KBD image on your entry. I also wanted to make something for the 2nd challenge at the Peachy Keen Connection. The challenge was to use an office supply. I choose to add staples to my tag. I used the staples to attach my ribbon and banners to the tag.  The owl is from Spooky Hoots at KBD and the cute little candy corn is KBD creepy treats.

I promise this will be my last Halloween item for a few weeks. Can you tell I like Halloween??

I made this card for my twins 1st grade teacher. Madison & McKenzie are both in the same class and really enjoyed their first week back to school. I thought it would be nice to send in this card to let her know how much they enjoyed being in her classroom.

I used two patterns when making this apple shaped card. Both were freebies!!!
The apple shaped card was a freebie on KaDoodle Bug Designs a couple of weeks ago. The worm is from Too Cute by Jessica and is still a freebie. I posted about it yesterday.

Peachy Keen had a release party a couple of days ago. They are also hosting a back to school challenge on the Peachy Connection so I will be entering this card. For the apple I used The Moodies stamp. The mouth on the worm is from The Cornies. I finished the card with some white doodling, button and twine.

Will Spook For Treats


I love Halloween!! When I saw this Spooky Hoots pattern at KaDoodle Bug Designs, I knew I couldn't wait until October to make it. I also wanted to enter in the Peachy Keen challenge this week which is a sketch, so this is my take on the sketch. I used a variety of papers from K&Co, Martha Stewart and MME Mischievous. I inked all the edges in Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink. The leaves are from a Martha Stewart punch. The owls face is from PKS Large Critter set and leaves faces are from the Cornies.

I just love this new pattern You're a Star by KaDoodle Bug Designs. I thought this TV shaped card was fun and what little girl would not like to get this super fun card. I used PK640 Princess face assortment to stamp the face.  The sentiment is from Cardz TV  "It's All About You". Don't forget this week at KaDoodle Bug Designs is anything goes challenge. I decided to recycle a veggie can and make my girls teacher a gift. I thought a pencil holder for her desk would be the perfect thing. It was really quick and simple. I  took an empty can, gently peeled off the label so I could use it as a template. I cut out my decorative paper and glued it down. Added an owl from KaDoodle Bug Designs Artistic Owls, raffia, button and pencils. It was that simple.
