Quick and Easy Embossing Tips & Techniques

Hello there!!! Michelle here, sharing some embossing techniques that are quick and easy!

Steps:

Select your die/ dies to create your emboss background.

Position your die with removable tape ( washi tape) and run through your die cutting machine.

Repeat this process several times, until background is complete.

***TIP*** Be sure to use a rubber mat under your cardstock to ensure the die does not cut through the cardstock.

Choose your word die and die cut several times.

Use one to heat emboss, than adhere to the others to add dimension.

Assemble your card and add embellishments.

Galaxy Background Tutorial with Joy

Hi Divas! Are you enjoying the ? It's full of tricks and treats. To join in the Halloween fun, Joy created a night sky background for the from our . Read on to see how to recreate this adorable card.

Before we get into the background, let's focus on the cute digi stamps. I started by printing the images and fussy cutting them.

Then I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color the images.

For the background, I added Barn Door, Shaded Lilac, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Inks to A2 watercolor cardstock. To make the piece a galaxy background, I colored the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink.

Next, I splattered some Copic Opaque White Ink on the background using a brush to create the illusion of stars. Then I adhered the images on the background and stuck the panel on a white A2 top folding card base.
