Craftin Desert Divas Blog: CDD April Release Sneak Peek Day 4

Today is the final day of the sneak peeks for the April release at Craftin Desert Divas. So you know what that means right?? All the new stamps, dies and sequins will be in the CDD Shop tomorrow!!

Here's are my projects for today:

I'm just loving these adorable critters that Mindy has designed in the new Peek A Boo Animal set. They are perfect for peeking through the windows on the new Picture Frame Die.

I first started out by using some watercolor paper and blending Tim Holtz Distress Inks in the colors of Peacock Feathers, Scattered Straw and Worn Lipstick. I then spritzed it with some water. I then used the new Picture Frame Die and cut the base for my card.

I used the Cherry Blossom flowers from the new Flowers In Bloom stamps to add in the corners of this card. I heat embossed them in white and then colored them in with my Worn Lipstick marker and blended it out with my water brush. I also used my Distress marker in Mowed Lawn for the leaves, also blended out with my water pen.

How adorable is that sweet bunny with her pretty hat? I've used my Copic markers to color her in. The "Many" is from the new Wishful Thought Word Dies and was cut from a piece of left over from the base of the card. Get well wishes sentiment is on the new Wishful Thought stamp set. To finish it up I took the hearts from our stamp inked up in Worn Lipstick and stamped them in the small window.

I had so much fun making the first card, that I still wanted to play with these Peek A Boo Animals and I had to make another card. This time I went with a birthday theme card. I've used the bear and tiger from this set and masked some hats on them from my and stamps. My papers are from the Doodlebug . I also took some of my Zig clean color markers and made a watercolor background to go underneath the window part.

The critters were colored in with my Copic markers. I also added a few balloons from my and they were also cut out from the same Doodlebug paper pad. I then masked a stack of the presents from my stamp set and added them to the small window. Sentiments are heat embossed in white. Just peeking in to say... is included in this new Peek A Boo Animal stamp and the Happy Birthday is from my set. A few Doodlebug Sprinkles and it was done.
