Today is day 5 of August Release Sneak Peek week! That means it's time to show you the new stamp set 'Birds Of A Feather'. I just love every single bird in this set, they are so sweet.

I made this cute pastel card using the lovely little hummingbird, flower and ‘Miss you like crazy!’ sentiment, from ‘Birds Of A Feather’ stamp set.


 
I used my Copic markers to color up the hummingbird and flower, and as you might have noticed I love pastel, so that’s what I chose for this card. That hummingbird is so sweet with that little smile, and by adding some white dots with my gel pen on the cheek, the smile is more in focus. I wanted to frame in the bird, and used the small scallop die from ‘Stitched in Circle Dies’ to cut a little frame of white cardstock. Then I added some tiny 3D foam dots to the back, to raise it a bit from the background. I also added some dots of white to the flower, and used glossy accent in the center of it. The hummingbird and flower is also mounted on 3D foam, a bit higher than the frame.




For my background I used the smooshing technic with Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide, just love that look and color! For the frame I used the new ‘Inside Scalloped Rectangle Dies’ from Release day 2. I think that’s going to be my new favorite frame dies.
For the sentiment I used the ‘Flag Banner Dies’ and after stamping the sentiment I wrote over the text using a clear gel pen, to make it shine just a little bit. For the last touch I added 3 dots of Nuvo drops.
