Hello Everyone!!! It's Lindsay from the DT here with you today, taking a look back at this fabulous new release!!! If you haven't seen all the new goodies that have been added to the shop, be sure and hop on over and check them all out! For my cards today, I used the brand new Playtime Stamp Set, as well as the brand new Aloha Stamp Set which you can get for FREE if you spend $50 or more!!!! If you want to see how I used the brand new Aloha stamp set, be sure and watch the video tutorial below!!
This was such a simple and fun card to put together. After quickly coloring up and fussy cutting my little troll, I also stamped, colored, and fussy cut the circular wreath from the Floral Wreaths Stamp Set. The flowers in the wreath and in her hair matched perfectly together!! I also brought in the Inside Scalloped Rectangle dies to add a nice frame around this simple card!!
To add some interest to this card, I added a bit of very soft ink blending behind the floral wreath with Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink. Also, to add more interest and depth, I popped up the wreath and troll girl with fun foam and double sided adhesive. I also popped up a flag banner, at an angle, in the center of the wreath with the "Shake your grass skirt" sentiment. And finally, I put down some drops of Nuvo Crystal Drop in Sugar Almond to add some embellishment!!
This next card I want to share was SO MUCH fun to put together! I colored up all of the images in the PlayTime Stamp Set and if you want to see how I did all of that, you can watch the Only Coloring Video below!
WOW! Two videos in one post LOL!! Moving on, after fussy cutting each of the images, I decided to use the little boy playing pirates and the other little boy playing knights. I also wanted to make this card into a birthday card, so I cut the largest Inside Scalloped Rectangle Die and also die cut the small circle and half circle (with stitching) from the Stitched In Circles die set. These were going to ballons in the background for a birthday party effect!!
After doing all of my fussy and die cutting I started putting everything together. I glued the circles into the top left and right corners of the scalloped frame and added black ribbon for my balloon tails. I popped up the frame with fun foam and double sided adhesive onto an A2 side folding white card base. To finish off the birthday party scene, I glued each little guy into a corner right on top of the frame!
Right in the center of the scene, I purposely left a hole to add my sentiment. There are some adorable sentiments in the Playtime Stamp Set, but I wanted to add the big scripty sentiments from the Wishful Thoughts stamp Set. I pulled out my gray ink, so it wouldn't blend in with the balloon strings, and added a few Enamel Accents for embellishments to complete this card!!
And because you can never have enough inspiration or pretty things to look at, be sure and head over to the , or the , and check out what the rest of the DT is creating with the brand new goodies!!!
