Hello crafty divas! It's Anna here today and I want to share with you my new handmade card that I made using embossing with stencil technique and #cddmonthly March colors inspiration.
And here is our March Photo Inspiration
I started from getting my card base cut and folded. I also prepared background base (used die that I ran through cutting machine).
For embossing I took the 4 piece stencil from our last release. I needed wave looking background and this stencil was just perfect for it.
I placed the stencil at one part of the background base and masked the rest with the tape. To apply the embossing ink I took a little ink pad and inked it from the big one and then pressed hard to the stencil. After, I did the same thing on the second part of the background.
Then I put the embossing powder and applied the heating tool.
For the background colors I used Distress inks and picked the soft ones from the mood board.
After that I sprayed some water on top of the paper for awesome looking splashes.
When the background was ready I put it to dry a bit and moved on to the coloring.
I use pencils (because I love them) and I always go from light colors to dark. For this card I picked the cute weather gnome girl with unicorn. Used the same soft shades picked from the mood board. I really felt in love with this color bombo.
I also needed sentiment and I thought it would be awesome if it was some kind of banner looking one. So I cut the banner using die and stamped the sentiment on it (uhhh... lucky it fit, lol).
I am always opened to new supplies so I got myself VersaFine ink and what I heared about it is true - it's perfect for sentiments!
Finaly I started putting my card together. For that I attached the background to the card base, images and sentiment - on top of the background.
Last moment I spotted some clear pink sequins in a lilac mix and decided to add some to the card.
The card turned out sweet and soft, I really love it! Wish you all a magic day and see you soon <3
