Hi All! I am here today to bring you another way to do a snowy background! I started with a glossy paper used with alcohol inks. For this project I used Sail Boat Blue and Cloudy Blue.
I squeezed some onto a felt blender pad and blotted.
Next I took Liquitex Titanium White Ink and Stickles Ice and combined the two.
Using an old paintbrush I tapped on the paintbrush spraying the glossy paper. The reason for adding the Stickles is that it gives it a little extra sparkle. One small note of caution, when using this flicking technique, the ink does tend to fly a bit, so just be aware it can get a bit messy. Here you have the snowy background.
From here I used and the Tree Border Die from Once I cut these layers I used the same tapping the paintbrush on them to add a bit of the white flecks as well. From there I used Santa, the present stack and sentiment from and colored up the images with Copics. As a final touch I used the largest die in to cut my edge.
And here is my final project.
I do hope that you give this technique a try and would love to see what you come up with so please post to the CDD facebook group!
Hugs!
Judy
