Hi Crafty Divas, DT Janni here.
Today I want to show you how to make a beautiful snow background using Craftin Desert Divas Stencil, and off course I’m working in my pastel color world.
At first I colored up my background using Distress Oxide ‘Worn Lipstick’ and ‘Sorted Shapes 1’ stencil – If you love dots, you will love this stencil, trust me. I didn't use that much ink, because I wanted a soft look.
After the ink dried up, it was time to use the ‘Snowflake Flurries’ stencil, and for that I used some effect snow and my palette knife.
Here is a closer look, oh I love this background <3
I wanted to add some trees for my scene so I used the tree from ‘Outdoor Landscape 2 Dies’ on some kraft paper for that. For my frame I used ‘Inside Scalloped Rectangle Dies’ on white cardstock, and a banner from ‘Flag Banner Dies’ on the same white cardstock.
I colored up this little cutie on the ice from ’Snow Happy’ with my Copics, and off course I used my favorite pastel combo’s. The little sentiment is from ‘Oh what fun’ the size of that sentiment is just perfect for my christmas cards.
Here is a close up after I finished the card, and added some highlights to her little cheeks, cute right.
I hope you enjoyed my card with stencil made snow backgrounds.
See you soon,
Hugs Janni
